Shark Size
The smallest shark is the spined pygmy shark. It's less than 10 inches long and can be found in the cold, deep oceans at around 6,550 ft (2,000 m).
It will rise to feed at depths around 650 ft (200 m). It's bioluminescent which means it glows in the dark.
The largest shark is the whale shark. At over 45 feet and 50 tons, it's also the world's largest fish.
The whale shark strains out tiny animals that drift in the sea, such as plankton, shrimp, and small fish.
