Fuel Efficiency at Ford
A 1912 Ford Model T got 17 miles to the gallon.
Today, a 2007 Ford Explorer gets 18 miles to the gallon.
Cars & trucks have certainley become more complex over the years, but it is interesting that Ford's Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) has dropped from 23 mpg to 21 mpg.
