Most Dangerous Road

In Bolivia, there is a road between La Paz and Cororico which is known by most people as the "Road of Death".

The Yungas Road is a single lane dirt road is only 100' (90 meters) wide and starts in La Paz where it rises to a pass which is 15,800 ft in elevation, or in simpler terms, it's 3 miles high. It has a sheer drop off on one side which can be as much as 1,600 feet above the Cororico river and no guardrails.

The road is less than 50 miles long and on average, 20 cars a year plunge over the side which kills an estimated 200 to 300 people every year.

Alternatively, Norway has the lowest amount of fatalities per road mile than any other country.
