One Boeing 747-400 contains six million individual parts.
Half of the parts are fasteners and are manufactured in 33 countries around the world. The thrust from just one of it's four engines (60,000lb each) is more than all four engines combined on the original 707. The thrust to weight ratio is better than the current Airbus A380.
The plane is so big that the fuselage holds over a ton of air.
