The least populated county is Loving County, Texas. It only has 67 residents and is 645 square miles in size, or one person for every 9 square miles.
Other than 360 oil wells, the only businesses in Loving County include a café (open mornings), a post office, a gas station and the yellow Deco two-story courthouse. There are two roads. There is no operating church, although the county's oldest building, a 1910 schoolhouse, is open for nondenominational worship.
